President Trump and the Republicans are pushing a bill to eliminate or more bluntly, gut tax incentives that support the expansion of solar, wind and geothermal energy.  Renewable energy saves homeowners and business money because it costs less to generate electricity than with coal or natural gas and renewable energy promotes a cleaner envornment by reducing carbon pollution. 

I need you to contact your Member of Congress and tell them in no uncertain terms that they need to oppose this effort. These tax credits help people and business pay for a solar system and supports new American manufacturing of batteries ...

President Trump and the Republican Members of Congress are pushing a bill to eliminate the Investment Tax Credit, that reduces the cost of installing a solar energy system by 30% of the cost of the system, by reducing how much you pay in federal income taxes by that same amount. 

This bill passed the US House of Represenatives very early this morning (May 22) on a party line basis, 215 Republcans voted yes and 214 Democrats voted no. This bill now goes to the US Senate.  Please contact our two Senators, Gary Peters and Elissa and tell them in no uncertain terms, that they must oppose this legislation.
