The purpose of this Campaign is to urge the MI Public Service Commission (MPSC) to support the deployment of various solar and wind projects in Michigan, by granting the permits for the projects that have been filed with them. These projects have met the state standard of protecting the land and giving local officials authority to help shape the design of them.

Ten projects have sought approval by the MPSC. These projects will add a lot of clean solar and wind energy to help meet the statewide goal of having 50% of all electricity be generated by solar or wind by 2030.

Developers have applied to the MI Public Service Commission (MPSC) for a Permit to build several new solar and wind projects. Dear Michigan Public Service Commissioners,

As a Michigan resident, I am very concerned about the future of our State.  I strongly urge you to approve the necessary permits for the renewable energy projects currently under review at the MI Public Service Commission.

I am very concerned about rising utility rates. I support the development of new solar and wind energy projects because it costs less to generate electricity with solar and wind, and they don't pollute like coal and natural gas does.

Michigan needs to build more renewable energy projects so we have the electricity we need for our homes and business, and to reduce climate change risk that is causing all these violent storms.

When developed responsibly, renewable energy projects will benefit communities by allowing the land to rest and regenerate, providing more tax dollars to support schools and other community needs and by creating new local jobs.

Approving these projects will also help meet Michigan’s commitment to 50% renewable energy by 2030 and 65% by 2035.  By transitioning to renewable energy away from fossil fuels, will reduce pollution and improve public health and provide us the electricity we need!

Please approve the permits to move these projects forward.
